In 1941, if Gibraltar fell, Operation Tracer was to seal six volunteers into a chamber cut inside the Rock, with two observation slits two centimetres wide to watch German shipping through. Ian Fleming was in the planning.

- One tap on the upper rock, at St Michael's Cabin, two hours in. Two litres each in summer.
- The macaques
- Keep food out of sight and bags closed in front of you. Feeding them is illegal.
- Closing time
- Gates shut 19:00 in summer and 18:00 in winter, and no path is lit.
